Starting at 4:30 PM, Labour Statue, Marina.

Ending at Pattinapakkam, Foreshore Estate.

7 PM Closing ceremony with a street play and music.

Walking for Pedestrian Rights and related themes.

  1. Great initative.

    I have been burdened with the lack of pavements in Chennai and the impunity with which the existing pavements are being removed or encroached upon. And encroachers mainly are commercial folks. On 18 Sep while going along the Spurtank Road I find workers reducing the existing pavement. Shanti Colony Road has become a mini T Nagar.

    An initiative which is delayed but better late than never. We need to file PIL for the right of pavement in all roads in Chennai if there is no response to you efforts.

  4. Great initiative. A much needed one to ring the bell and bring about awareness of the plight of pedestrains. I hope the sound reaches the ears of powers houses.

    I shall be there on 21st to support this intiiative.
